Story Behind the Piece

Valeria came to me from my love of green crystal chip beads, which I cannot fully explain but is very real. There is something about the way they stack, irregular and organic, that feels like nature doing its own arranging. Balance without trying.

Artist Notes

I hand wire wrapped each bead of Valeria individually, stacking the crystal chips and seed beads into a composition that felt balanced and considered. The irregular shapes of the chips mean every pair sits slightly differently, which I love. I assembled all the hardware by hand to complete the piece.

About the Series

La Luminosa means "the radiant" in Italian. This collection started with one thing, my love of sparkle and reflections of light. I wanted it to feel light and airy, a culmination of my exploration of new materials in the Summer of 25/26.
