The Things I Didn’t Choose is a hand-stitched mixed-media beadwork piece by Samira Stephens. So much of life is shaped by themes that are outside of our control, such as the things we inherit, where we belong, and the circumstances that happen along the way. This piece is an acknowledgement of my own history.

Presented in an 22 x 22 cm wooden embroidery hoop, this one-of-a-kind colourful wall art is made in Melbourne.
