Sacred Currents

Sacred Currents is a hand-stitched mixed-media beadwork piece by Samira Stephens. This extremely sparkly piece is created using traditional beading techniques such as Aari beading, with rivers of seed beads and streams of sequins, because just like the rivers, we are all just bodies of water; we womxn persevere and flow through life so delicately, all while holding everything for everyone but ourselves, and still finding room for more flowers when the sun says hello.
