My Body Is Stardust

Description

My Body Is Stardust is a maximalist decor beaded textile artwork, shimmering beadwork scattered across the surface, catching light at different angles as you move, the piece expanding visually beyond its physical boundaries. I like remembering that I'm made of the same elements as stars. It makes everything feel a little less separate and a lot less lonely. This piece came from that comforting sense of connection to something much bigger. It's about belonging to the universe.

Part of my Sparkle Series exploring the inner experiences that shape everyday life but are often kept private, this piece is entirely one of a kind. Presented in a 17 x 17 cm wooden embroidery hoop, colourful wall art ready to hang or display on a shelf, created in my Melbourne studio.
