Lunar Time

Description

Lunar Time is a maximalist embroidery hoop artwork, the surface split like a half moon, one side dense with metallic bugle bead striping, the other softer and scattered with sequins and beadwork, reflective elements repeating in a gentle rhythm. I've always felt more connected to natural cycles than to linear time, the moon's rhythm, the tides, the sense of ebb and return. This piece came from noticing how my own energy moves in similar patterns. It's a gentler way of understanding change.

Part of my Sparkle Series exploring the inner experiences that shape everyday life but are often kept private, this piece is entirely one of a kind. Presented in an 8.8 x 8.8 cm wooden embroidery hoop, colourful wall art ready to hang or display on a shelf, created in my Melbourne studio.
