From the La Luminosa collection, introducing the Luciana Faceted Drop Earrings in Green. She features five faceted beads and one large smooth irregular faceted bead, stacked in a column of greens that shift between opaque and transparent. She reminds me of gemstones and mosaic glass, indoor plants and the light through leaves. Hand wire wrapped in Melbourne and one of a kind.

Story Behind the Piece

Luciana came to me from a love of the way green beads stack, the way opaque and transparent sit next to each other and create depth. She feels like looking through a window into something lush and calm, trees, leaves, the comfort of nature indoors.

Artist Notes

I hand wire wrapped Luciana bead by bead, thinking about the relationship between the opaque and transparent facets and how they reflect light differently. The large smooth bead at the base anchors the whole piece and gives it weight. I assembled all the hardware by hand to complete the piece.

About the Series

La Luminosa means "the radiant" in Italian. This collection started with one thing, my love of sparkle and reflections of light. I wanted it to feel light and airy, a culmination of my exploration of new materials in the Summer of 25/26.
