Introducing Isadora Bouquet, an oval ceramic magnet from the La Luminosa collection. She features a hand painted tied bouquet of blue and green flowers, simple and sweet on a creamy stoneware base. The oval shape gives her a tiny painting quality, like something worth framing. Two neodymium magnets on the back so she stays put. One of a kind, handmade in Melbourne.

Story Behind the Piece

Isadora came from a love of miniature illustration and the idea that something very small can still tell a whole story. The sardines especially make me smile every time. They are the kind of motif that feels nostalgic and playful at the same time, like a detail you might find on old Portuguese tiles.

Artist Notes

Each Isadora magnet is rolled, cut into the oval shape and hand painted using nail polish brushes for fine detail. Underglaze goes on before a clear glaze coat and firing. Two neodymium magnets are attached by hand after. The portrait orientation of the oval shape was very deliberate, it gives each motif room to breathe.

About the Series

La Luminosa means "the radiant" in Italian. This collection started with one thing, my love of sparkle and reflections of light. I wanted it to feel light and airy, a culmination of my exploration of new materials in the Summer of 25/26.
