Description

Fairy Garden In My Mind is a maximalist beaded textile artwork, clusters of playful colour and reflective beadwork gathering across the surface, soft textures and layered elements creating a sense of abundance. I don't think imagination disappears as we get older, I think we just stop visiting it. This piece came from wanting to reconnect with that softer, more playful part of myself. It feels like stepping back into a place where wonder still exists. Making it reminded me that play doesn't have to disappear with adulthood.

Part of my Sparkle Series exploring the inner experiences that shape everyday life but are often kept private, this piece is entirely one of a kind. Presented in a 22 x 22 cm wooden embroidery hoop, colourful wall art ready to hang or display on a shelf, created in my Melbourne studio.
