She features a soft teardrop shape in stoneware, much lighter than she looks, with hand painted and layered glazes that make each pair completely one of a kind. 2 designs available. A classic shape made unique by the glaze work on each pair. Handmade from scratch in Melbourne.

Story Behind the Piece

Claire came from a love of the teardrop silhouette, one of those shapes that works on everyone and never dates. Each pair becomes its own thing through the glazing process. Because these are small I sometimes use them as glaze test tiles, so the results are always a little surprising.

Artist Notes

I hand build each Claire from stoneware clay, cut to shape and hand painted with layered underglazes before glazing and firing. After the second firing I attach all the hardware by hand. Simple shape, unique finish.
