From the La Luminosa collection, introducing the Asteria Celestial Drop Earrings in Silver. She features an aventurine bead at the top, crystal chip beads, and silver metal moon and circle charms at the base that catch light beautifully. The contrast between the smooth moon and the gritty sparkle of the textured circle is one of my favourite things about her. Hand wire wrapped in Melbourne and one of a kind.

Story Behind the Piece

Asteria came to me from my lifelong connection to the moon. If she controls the tides, and we are mostly water, how could we not feel her? This piece is an ode to that, the moon, her phases, the pull of something larger than ourselves.

Artist Notes

Asteria was my first time trying wire wrapping and I loved it immediately. I built her around the moon charm, adding the aventurine and crystal chips to give her texture and colour above. The silver metal elements catch light in a completely different way to the crystal, that contrast was exactly what I was looking for. I assembled all the hardware by hand to complete the piece.

About the Series

La Luminosa means "the radiant" in Italian. This collection started with one thing, my love of sparkle and reflections of light. I wanted it to feel light and airy, a culmination of my exploration of new materials in the Summer of 25/26.
