Introducing the Yuki Leafy Arch Ceramic Earrings. She features an arch shape with a leafy texture stamped into the surface, finished with an ombre colour wash that moves across the texture beautifully. Jump rings and beads are added below for a little extra movement and fun. 2 designs available. Handmade from scratch in Melbourne.

Story Behind the Piece

Yuki came from wanting to see what happened when I added beads and jump rings to the bottom of a ceramic piece. I was curious whether it would feel more playful, more finished, or just different. It felt like all three. The ombre colour over the stamped texture was something I was exploring at the time and the two things together felt right.

Artist Notes

I hand build each Yuki from stoneware clay, stamp the leafy texture into the surface before the clay dries, then cut to the arch shape. The ombre underglaze is painted by hand across the texture before glazing and firing. After the second firing I attach the jump rings, beads and hardware by hand to complete the piece.
