Self Regulation

Description

Self Regulation is an embroidery hoop artwork, repetition and rhythm guiding the beadwork placement across the surface, suggesting continual movement and adjustment. Balance isn't something I achieve once and keep forever. It's something I lose and find again over and over. Some days it feels natural, other days it takes effort just to return to centre. This piece reflects that ongoing process.

Part of my Sparkle Series exploring the inner experiences that shape everyday life but are often kept private, this piece is entirely one of a kind. Presented in an 8.8 x 8.8 cm wooden embroidery hoop, colourful wall art ready to hang or display on a shelf, created in my Melbourne studio.
