Secret Treasure

Description

Secret Treasure is a beaded textile artwork, small details embedded throughout the beadwork, some immediately visible and others revealed slowly, rewarding close looking. Some parts of who we are don't come out right away. I made this while thinking about the pieces of myself I share slowly, once trust is built. They're not hidden because they're fragile, but because they matter. There's something beautiful about being known over time.

Part of my Sparkle Series exploring the inner experiences that shape everyday life but are often kept private, this piece is entirely one of a kind. Presented in an 8.8 x 8.8 cm wooden embroidery hoop, colourful wall art ready to hang or display on a shelf, created in my Melbourne studio.
