Breakthroughs

Description
Breakthroughs is a maximalist embroidery hoop artwork, beadwork building outward across cotton with brighter passages interrupting heavier areas, creating a sense of movement through pressure. I'd been stuck on this idea for so long that I started to doubt it would ever work. Then one day something shifted and it finally made sense. Breakthroughs came from that exact moment of relief when pressure turns into clarity. It reminds me that persistence often matters more than certainty.

Part of my Sparkle Series exploring the inner experiences that shape everyday life but are often kept private, this piece is entirely one of a kind. Presented in an 8.8 x 8.8 cm wooden embroidery hoop, colourful wall art ready to hang or display on a shelf, created in my Melbourne studio.
