The bowl has a wide open form with a gently uneven rim and a small spout. The chazen sits on a little footed base with a finer botanical pattern around the rim. Both pieces are made and painted by me in Melbourne. I kept thinking about being tiny in a giant flower garden, everything enormous and bright, petals the size of rooms. A clear glaze was applied over the top before firing.
